This photograph was taken by Bobby Adams, he's taken a collection of photographs showing either a single person at different life stages or of two people from the same bloodline and they are both at different life stages to one another. I feel that he captures the effect of ageing extremely well due to the direct contrast of the people in the two images, he also shows the similarities between the genetics of different generations. He ripped both the photographs he took and then he places them next to one another to make the face whole. This makes the torn line down the middle. I like this photograph because the contrast between the ages is good evidence ageing.

This is one of my photographs which i took whilst doing a shoot inspired by Bobby Adams. I have taken two photographs of two different models. I placed them against the same background but as i didn't want to rip them myself, i decided to edit them on photoshop to create the crooked line going through the middle of the two faces as this gives a similar effect to that of Bobby's without having to physically manipulate the photographs. i had to make sure that the faces were the same size and that their features were level and in proportion to each other. I feel that my photographs show the contrast of different genetics well . The faces may not be joined perfectly but i feel this adds to the contrasting effect that the images are of two completely non-realated people.
These photographs are connected as they are both showing a similar theme, which is the contrast of two different faces and their facial features whether from the same family or not. However in Bobby's photographs they have the same clothing, from where he has manually placed the photographs together, where mine were edited on the computer it would be harder to replicate the same clothing without it looking fake and unrealistic. There is also a connection in the sense that the models in the photos are all women.
